Sustainable supply chain
Since 1962, ambassadors of buffalo mozzarella in the world
Fattorie Garofalo was founded in 1962 and today is the head of a strong group of seven farms and three production plants, as well as its own retail chain.
All this is the result of a continuous process of expansion and completion of the supply chain, realized over the years through important innovations and acquisitions, which have allowed us to export buffalo Mozzarella to more than 40 countries worldwide.
The synergistic combination of photovoltaics and biogas allows us to completely cover the energy needs of our plants.
Environmental protection is an ethical imperative, so we are committed to the constant search for new tools to improve the ecological footprint of our activities.
The technological innovations of our livestock companies are the demonstration of how Garofalo Farms have invested in the circular economy these years.
PDO-Protected Designation of Origin
The PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) mark is assigned by the European Union to foods whose peculiar quality characteristics depend, essentially or exclusively, on the territory in which they are produced. This is the case of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, where the geographical environment, climatic factors and agricultural techniques developed by the territory, allow to obtain a product inimitable in other places. In addition for Mozzarella the DOP mark is a guarantee of quality and respect for tradition.
